Tecno’s coming new smartphones are reportedly targeted for social media lovers

Fresh off its Camon CX Manchester City Limited edition launch mid-July, Smartphone giant Tecno is rumoured to be rolling out a smartphone series from the brand that shall be hitting the market in the coming weeks, and will be an exhibitionist smartphone targeted at capturing the middle and low-end market.
If word on the street is anything to go by, then we may well expect a surprise from Africa’s leading mobile maker, as one important takeout from the rumours has it that the device has been made with social media lovers in mind. So what exactly do social media lovers look out for in a smartphone? Music? Games? Photos? Ease of sharing? Well, we would wait and see what TECNO has in store.
At this point, any leaked photo or shared information about this anticipated device will be vital in giving smartphone enthusiasts an impression of what is to come, especially as the mobile brand is yet to make any official statements; not even a hint on their social media pages yet. So, information as to name, specs and design are still anything but confirmed true.
We however have our fingers crossed, with our eyes and ears wide open and down to the ground to pounce on whatever information spills – both reliable and from rumour mongers.

Breaking News: JAMB Postpones Sale of 2018 UTME Application Forms

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has suspended the sale of the 2018 application forms earlier scheduled to commence on Wednesday, November 22.
The spokesperson of the board, Fabian Benjamin, said this in a press statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES Tuesday evening. He noted that the postponement was due to the delay in meeting the agreed deadline by the publisher of the compulsory reading text meant for prospective candidates for the 2018 UTME.

The board said the publisher had promised to deliver all the texts on or before the November, 7, 2017.
“As at close of work today, the publisher had not provided the 1.8 million copies required and this development painfully forced to the Board to shift the date from Wednesday 22nd November, 2017 to a date to be announced soon.

”JAMB said it regrets all inconvenience occasioned by this postponement as it is working round the clock to announce a new date soon”, the statement said.
According to the board, candidates are urged to visit its website to familiarise themselves with the brochure before the commencement of the sale of the application documents.
“The brochure has been placed on the Board’s website so as to enable candidates study it and avoid some of the mistakes associated with filling the application documents. Understanding the process will not only help the candidates fill the form smoothly but will also brightened their chances of getting admission”, it said.

PREMIUM TIMES had earlier reported that the Registrar of the board, Ishaq Oloyede said the sale of application documents will commence on November 22 and end on January 22, 2018.
The board had also proposed March 9 to 17 as the date for the examination taking into cognisance dates of other public examination.

5 Games Coming Out This November You Don’t Want To Miss

5 Games Coming Out This November You Don’t Want To Miss
nsukguide.com

The month of November is here and coming along with a number of wonderful video games that we have all been waiting for. 2017 has so far being a fantastic gaming year, as each month as presented a special treat for every kind of player and November will not be any different.

Each month has presented something special for all kinds of players and November is no different. Let’s take a look at some of them.

Call of Duty: WW2
nsukguide.com

November is the month of the release of call of duty and it comes calling once again this year. However, at least this year’s Call of Duty: WW2 has the benefit of going back to a part of the franchise that has all but being left in the past.

As the name of this year’s own implies, it takes place during World War 2 with a highly cinematic campaign that will encompass a wide array of places for conflicts. The game also features multiplayer mode that will all but do without futuristic jetpacks and wall-running in favour of run and gun gameplay.

It also has a couple of new features such as a social space to meet other players, Divisions to enlist in and build different classes, the new War mode which presents a huge conflict in multiplayer for the first time and a new Zombies campaign with Nazi Zombies returning.

Whether this will be enough to give the franchise the much need boost is left to be seen as it was released on the 3rd of November for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Sonic Forces
nsukguide.com

This game started out as a neat follow-up to Sonic Generations and quickly devolved into having a timed demo and character avatars that can be customized. It’s story has a new villain called Infinite that has his own rock track to make play more enjoyable.

It appears Sega is focusing once more on selecting “Classic” and “Modern”  Sonics, with the former offering a 2.5D platforming experience while the latter presents high-speed stages and fast action a la Sonic Colours. Sonic the Hedgehog forms a “resistance” to battle against Eggman’s forces of evil which doesn’t seem that interesting, but it is our hope that the gameplay will make up for it. It is due to be released on November 7th for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Need for Speed Payback
nsukguide.com

This is yet another franchise that needs to be reinvented, as it is in dire need of of fresh ideas and competent execution if it intends to get back into the consciousness of gamers. Ghost Games seem to be on the right track with Need for Speed Payback, as it is presenting a variety of races and activities.

As a player, you will be able to find beat-up old rides to repair, stunts to perform and a whole lot of activities. This game appears to adopt the “heist” direction of the Fast and Furious franchise with three playable characters battling a cartel. Hopefully, the tons of customization for vehicles and offline options will set it apart. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on the 10th of November.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2
nsukguide.com

This game will be available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch and will be released on the 14th of November. The Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 promises to be the biggest, most definitive of the Lego games yet. Kang the Conqueror is on a tear, kidnapping cities throughout various time periods and linking them into one major hub.

The heroes of the various Marvel periods like Captain America, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Cosmo the Dog, Spider-Ham and many, many more are faced with the arduous task of stopping him. Players are given the opportunity to customize their very own superheroes using a variety of different options and explore the open world at their leisure.

You also have the option of progressing the story at your own pace and using time manipulation to complete puzzles.

Star Wars Battlefront 2
nsukguide.com

DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 is expected to arrive on the 17th of November and it does makes amends for Pandemic’s Star Wars Battlefront’s lack of content. It comes with a meaty single player campaign this time around and it focuses on Iden Versio and the Empire as they rally against the Rebellion following the death of the emperor.

The multiplayer of this game has some new modes like Starfighter Assault, that consists primarily which consists primarily of space combat, and Strike Mode, an objective-based capture and defend mode that has neither vehicles nor heroes. It also has new maps, heroes, class load-outs, Star Cards, vehicles and much more for fans of the star wars franchise to play on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
